India, Aug. 13 -- What began as a viral lip-sync video in 2019 has returned seven years later as one of Instagram's biggest nostalgia trends. Content creator Faisal Shaikh, aka Mr Faisu, and his creator group Team 07's recreation of Kishore Kumar's song Mere Mehboob Qayamat Hogi has found a new audience, with celebrities, politicians and creators now joining the trend, with some videos generating more than 165 million views.

Their new version has crossed 155 million views on Instagram. "We saw that there was a gap of so many years and thought, why not bring back that moment? There was also this feeling of 'Season 1 ke players wapas aa gaye hain.' Since 2026 has brought back so many memories from the 2016-2019 era, we felt it was the perfect time to recreate something people loved back then."
Faisu feels "surreal" as renowned celebrities are also hoping to join the viral trend. "I feel extremely happy and humbled. I loved when (actors) Anupam Kher sir and Boman Irani recreated it. And Raveena Tandon doing her version was amazing," he shares....
