India, July 29 -- A ctor Seema Biswas says the devastating floods in Assam have left her deeply worried, especially as she has been unable to contact some relatives near the affected areas: "I've been in touch with my sister in Guwahati, but other relatives residing near the affected areas, unnse baat nahin ho pa rahi." The actor, who hails from Nalbari, says she contacted the District Collectorate office to know how to help those in need. "An official told me ki khaana toh pahunch raha hai but the situation is bad because basic necessities like clothes, utensils and medicine are required more," she says, adding that she plans to use "Rs.1.38 lakh received after deductions from an award amount to support relief efforts". She shares, "I want to send whatever little I can at this point of time." Calling upon the film industry and more people to step forward, Biswas adds, "Bahut acchha ho jayega because people there are unable to reach out for help."...
