re-watched all golmaal films, let lucky become a part of me again: tusshar
India, July 18 -- Fresh off the success of Welcome to the Jungle, actor Tusshar Kapoor is now looking forward to his next outing, Golmaal 5 (inset). He admits that returning as his iconic mute character, Lucky, after nearly a decade came with a mix of excitement and nerves and required preparation.
"Initially, I felt a little nervous because it's been nine years since we shot the last one, Golmaal Again (2017). But I re-watched all the Golmaal films and let the character become a part of me again. Rohit (Shetty, director) also made us rehearse for a day. He made us watch clips from Golmaal Again just to absorb the character," he says.
The upcoming film also marks actor Sharman Joshi's return to the franchise after featuring as Laxman in Golmaal (2006). Reflecting on the reunion, Tusshar says, "He was my partner in crime in the first part. He used to translate for me," adding, "I had a great time with him (Sharman); we were close during Golmaal; then we did Dhol (2007). So for me, it was like reuniting with him. We caught up on all the lost time and spent time chatting about our children because this time we both have kids.."
Apart from Tusshar, actors Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Kemmu and Shreyas Talpade will also make their return to the franchise, whereas actor Akshay Kumar joins the cast in a pivotal role.
This time, however, audiences will see all three actors who have played Laxman across the franchise, Sharman Joshi, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Kemmu, sharing screen space, making it one of the film's biggest highlights....
