Navratri is All About Family at the Bijlanis
India, Oct. 13 -- Every year, Arjun Bijlani's spirit elevates during Ganpati celebrations, and it carries on through the entire festive season to follow. With Navratri underway, the actor, his wife Neha Swami, and their son Ayaan, are in a "constant state of celebration". He says, "Navratri brings so much festive energy and it is a season of spiritual cleansing, family bonding, and gratitude.".
The festival also serves as a gentle reminder to slow down and restore balance for Arjun. "It brings a sense of warmth and togetherness. Despite our hectic schedule, it is important to balance life, and Navratri is a period of introspection. With fasting and puja, you just transform and I love that vibe," he shares, adding that for him, festivals are all about keeping his family at the center. "Meaningful moments together are far more important than grand celebrations. Life is about loving your family. No one has the time; aap ko family time banana padhta hai that is what matters, and Navratri reminds us of that."
At the Bijlanis, it's Neha who takes charge during the festivals, but Arjun likes to leave his mark too. "I love adding little festive touches to the house with flowers, lights, and traditional decor but festive dressing is her call," he says, while Neha adds, "Mujhe joh acchha, vibrant lagta hai, I choose for the special days of Navratri and make it a point that everything is in place. But the feeling of making prasad, halwa and laddoos at home is always a delight, that is what makes the festival super special."
Now the proud parents make sure to pass their traditions and values to their son. "I want Ayaan to grow up respecting our traditions, especially all the festivals as that is what keeps you rooted and makes you value faith and family," Arjun concludes....
