Dhurandhar's dialect coach on sara arjun: she would say, aur practice karte hai
India, April 4 -- A
ctor Sara Arjun's dedication on the sets of Dhurandhar: The Revenge (2026) left a strong impression on co-actor and dialect coach Faiz Mohammed Khan, who singles her out as one of the most committed learners among the cast.
Faiz, who played Sajid Mir in Dhurandhar (2025) and its sequel, says, "Sabko sikhne mein maza aa raha thha because the entire team was so passionate about the narrative." About Sara, who played Yalina in the film, he shares, "Sara bahut dhyaan deti hai, and she would say, 'Sir, abhi theek aya nai dialogue, aur practice kare, aur accha hona chahiye'."
Faiz himself had a double reason to celebrate with the film: his performance as well as his role as its dialect coach. After 14 years in the industry, he is proud to be part of what he calls "history in the making".
An NSD alumnus, Faiz was brought on board by casting director Mukesh Chhabra. "One day Mukesh ji asked, 'Faiz kya tum dialect par bhi kaam karoge? You are well-versed in Urdu.' That's how my dialect coaching began," he shares. He adds that director Aditya Dhar's focus on the Urdu dialect was to keep it accessible. "It was never about 'khalis (pure) or difficult Urdu', but rather about the 'asli Pakistani' lingo that felt more like 'hamare beech ki language'," says the 39-year-old.
The dialogue, "Darling, darling, dil kyon toda.," by Gaurav Gera's character Aalam became an instant hit, and Faiz recalls how they worked hard to perfect its tone. "He was like, 'Faiz, aur batao, iisko better karo'." He concludes that because the characters were "amazingly designed, toh sab fit hota chala gaya."...
