India, Sept. 11 -- Sarin Sundar, CTO, India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), spoke at the launch of India Photonics Association in New Delhi.

First, he highlighted India's economic milestones.

* Market scale: Electronics demand in India has surged to near $220 billion since 2014, with production expanding at an annual rate of roughly 19%.

* Export expansion: Electronics exports-under 2% of total exports a decade ago-now account for approximately 11%. Forecasts target $150 billion in electronics exports over the next four to five years.
