India, Sept. 15 -- Meta will begin reporting child safety matters on its platforms directly to India's Cybercrime Reporting Portal managed by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), changing the mechanism through which cases involving child sexual abuse material are flagged to Indian authorities.

The company confirmed the development on Tuesday after multiple media reports, citing government sources, said Meta had agreed to directly report such cases to Indian law enforcement.
