India, Sept. 18 -- FTSE 100 started its trade on a lower note on September 18, 2026, as the stock market index had witnessed good gains in the last session. The UK benchmark index declined by about 0.3% to 10,785 points during early trading sessions after having closed at 10,816.14 on Thursday after gaining 1.2%. The decline was attributed to investor concerns about the recent Bank of England interest rate announcement and developments in the Middle East region and the new economic figures from the UK.
