India, Sept. 18 -- Indian Stock Market Up Today (September 18): The Indian stock market started higher on Friday, September 18 2026. The Nifty 50 moved up by 0.20 percent to reach 23,315.80. At the time the BSE Sensex rose 0.22 percent to hit 74,474.19 at 9:23 a.m. IST. This gain came even though investors remained worried about geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Also foreign investors kept selling shares, which added pressure. Still support came from crude oil prices and better signals, from global markets. These factors helped ease some of the worries after losses.
