India, Sept. 15 -- The Indian equity market started off strong on Tuesday, September 15, with investors back from their trading break for one day due to a holiday as the buying mood is noted in key sectors such as the IT sector and banks.

The key benchmark index of Nifty 50 started the day at 23,503.65, an increase of 0.45%, while the BSE Sensex index began the day at 75,178.20, up by 397.37 points, which is 0.53%. The good start for the Indian equity markets despite weak indications from many Asian markets amid rising concerns over high prices of crude oil and global bond yields.
