Why Historical Signs on Slavery and Indigenous Peoples Are Disappearing From US National Parks?
India, June 19 -- More than 50 exhibits have been removed from at least 37 national park sites across the United States under the Trump administration, according to court filings. The changes stem from an executive order issued by President Donald Trump, which directed officials to remove signs and displays that, in his words, inappropriately disparages Americans past or living.
Court records indicate that the review went beyond that objective. Officials also removed exhibits they considered "unrelated to beauty, abundance and grandeur of the natural landscape," a category that reportedly included climate change displays at several parks.
