India, July 17 -- India Stock Market Today (July 17, 2026): The Indian benchmark indices opened on a positive note on Friday, July 17, 2026, with both the Sensex and Nifty 50 trading higher in the early session. At around 9:18 AM, the BSE Sensex gained nearly 406 points, or 0.53%, to trade at 77,593.29. The Nifty 50 also climbed around 105 points, or 0.44%, reaching 24,177.75. In the previous session on Thursday, July 16, 2026, the domestic markets witnessed a muted closing after a positive start.
