India, March 25 -- A Florida-based cosmetologist who traveled to the Bay Area to perform silicone butt injections has been convicted in connection with the 2023 death of a 34-year-old social media model. A San Mateo County jury found Vivian Alexandra Gomez, 53, guilty of felony involuntary manslaughter, inflicting great bodily injury, and practicing medicine without a license. The verdict came Monday after a 15-day trial and roughly three hours of deliberation, according to reporting first published by CBS Miami.
