India, April 16 -- Police in Amravati have detained a 19-year-old, Ayan Ahmed Tanveer on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, for allegedly recording and circulating obscene videos and images involving minor girls. Officials recovered more than 350 such videos from his devices, while over 100 clips were reportedly shared on social media.

According to investigators, Ayan is suspected of targeting nearly 180 girls and creating hundreds of obscene videos. However, police have so far identified and contacted only eight confirmed victims, while efforts are ongoing to trace others. Reports also suggest that the accused had earlier been associated with All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen.
