India, Nov. 4 -- Voting in an election usually requires people to visit a polling station, stand in queues and cast their ballots. However, for astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS), the process takes place hundreds of kilometres above Earth, where they can participate in elections while floating in microgravity.

Indian-origin NASA astronaut Anil Menon and two other American crew members aboard the International Space Station have cast their votes in the ongoing US Midterm Elections 2026 from space. A video shared by Menon on social media has offered a glimpse into the unusual voting process, drawing attention from viewers online.
