USS Abraham Lincoln Docks In Thailand After 286 Days At Sea; What Five-Day Break Means For 5,000 US Sailors
India, Sept. 2 -- The USS Abraham Lincoln, a US Navy nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, has arrived at Thailand's Laem Chabang port after spending 286 consecutive days at sea. The carrier is carrying around 5,000 sailors and Marines, who will now get a rare five-day break for rest and recuperation.
The aircraft carrier reached Thailand on Wednesday, September 2, after an unusually long deployment that included operations in the Middle East. The ship was originally deployed in November 2025 and was later redirected from its planned mission in the Pacific as the US military campaign against Iran intensified.
