India, Oct. 2 -- US stock index futures moved higher on Friday, October 2, as investors awaited the September US jobs report, while lower Treasury yields and easing oil prices provided some support to Wall Street. Nvidia, Broadcom and AMD were among technology stocks gaining in premarket trading.

Dow Futures

Dow futures were up 259 points, or 0.51%, at 4:59 a.m. ET, according to Reuters. The move came after the Dow Jones Industrial Average edged up 20.51 points, or 0.04%, to 50,926.56 on Thursday.

Investors were looking ahead to the September employment report for clues about the US economy and the Federal Reserve's interest-rate path.
