India, July 15 -- US Extreme Temperature Warnings: Extreme heat warnings have been issued across large parts of the United States this week as a powerful heat dome drives temperatures to historic levels. The unusual weather pattern has already shattered records in several states, with Billings, Montana, reaching 111F (43.9C) and Salt Lake City, Utah, hitting 109F, the highest temperatures ever recorded in those cities.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has warned that dangerous heat conditions are likely to persist through next Monday, with California and several Upper Midwest states facing elevated heat risks during the first half of the week.
