India, July 14 -- Indian stock markets may open lower on Tuesday, July 14, after GIFT Nifty indicated a weak start. Investors are expected to remain cautious amid rising US-Iran tensions, higher crude oil prices and a busy corporate earnings calendar.

Indian benchmark indices ended nearly unchanged on Monday despite volatile trading. The BSE Sensex rose 47.01 points, or 0.06%, to close at 77,616.40, while the NSE Nifty 50 gained 4.10 points, or 0.02%, to settle at 24,211.00. However, GIFT Nifty was trading around 24,049, nearly 193 points below the previous Nifty futures close, indicating a weak opening for Indian equities on Tuesday.
