India, July 17 -- Stock Market Today Live Updates: Indian benchmark indices extended their gains on Friday, with the BSE Sensex opening 349 points higher and the Nifty 50 advancing by 90 points in early trade. The Sensex was opened at 77,535.92, up 0.45%, while the Nifty 50 gained 0.38% to 24,163.60. Among the 30 Sensex constituents, 22 stocks were trading in positive territory. The rally was led by Tech Mahindra, Infosys, HCL Technologies, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Reliance Industries, and Axis Bank. On the downside, Trent, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo), Bharti Airtel, and ITC were among the top laggards in early trading.
