India, July 24 -- Sensex and Nifty continued to face strong selling pressure on Friday morning session amid broad-based selling pressure and fell on the back of it. Sensex was 735.81 points lower or 0.96% at 75,655.58 whereas Nifty was trading 212.50 points lower or 0.89% at 23,657.10. The market breadth was poor, with 1,079 stocks gaining, 2,451 losing, and 187 stocks unchanged. Auto, Real Estate, Metal, and IT stocks were the worst performers on NSE, whereas some Nifty stocks gained on Friday. Mid-cap and Small-cap indices have fallen as well. The India VIX, which gauges market volatility, was up by 6.60%.
