India, July 29 -- The holy month of Sawan (Shravan) holds immense significance for devotees of Lord Shiva. During this sacred period, temples witness large gatherings of worshippers offering water, milk, and Bilva leaves to Shiva Lingas while observing fasts and performing special prayers. Alongside these rituals, several traditional beliefs are associated with Sawan, one of which is the sighting of a Nag-Nagin (cobra pair).
