India, Sept. 30 -- The INDIA bloc has announced a protest programme against the Election Commission. The protest is over the Special Intensive Revision or SIR of electoral rolls. The Opposition alliance will hold district-level "Save Democracy" marches from October 2 to 8. On October 6 Opposition MPs will march to the Election Commission. The bloc has also planned a rally in Delhi on November 1.

The decisions were made during a meeting of INDIA bloc leaders in New Delhi on Wednesday, September 30. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said the parties had agreed on a joint action plan. They will keep raising concerns, about rolls, the Special Intensive Revision and the functioning of the Election Commission.
