India, Sept. 18 -- Russia-Ukraine War Latest News: Sanctions, among other measures, have historically played an essential role in Ukraine's diplomatic efforts to strengthen the negotiating hand of the Kremlin by making the economic costs of ongoing military actions more expensive for Russia. New legislation regarding U.S. sanctions may provide one more effective tool to exert additional economic pressure on Russia.
