India, Sept. 19 -- Russia-Ukraine War Latest News: Poland has joined an anti-ballistic missile coalition with Ukraine and other European allies as countries in the region seek to strengthen air-defence capabilities amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the move on Friday, September 18, saying Warsaw had agreed on the framework for its participation.

The coalition was announced in July by Ukraine and nine European countries and is intended to jointly develop a new anti-ballistic missile capability. Reuters reported that the project is being pursued as an alternative and potentially cheaper solution to the US-made Patriot system.
