India, March 26 --  Ram Navami 2026 is one of the most sacred Hindu festivals, celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu. Devotees across India observe the day with fasting, prayers, and temple visits during the holy period of Chaitra Navratri.

However, this year there is confusion about whether the festival should be observed on March 26 or March 27 due to the overlap of the Navami tithi.  According to Hindu calendar calculations, the Navami tithi begins at 11:48 AM on March 26 and ends at 10:06 AM on March 27.
