India, March 17 -- Afghanistan's Deputy Government spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat said early Tuesday, March 17, 2026, that the death toll from a Pakistani airstrike in Kabul has risen to 400, with around 250 people injured, after the strike allegedly hit a hospital that treats drug users in the Afghan capital late Monday night. In a post on X, Fitrat said large sections of the hospital were destroyed in the attack and rescue teams were still working to control the fire and recover bodies from the debris.
