India, Sept. 24 -- Shares of the National Stock Exchange of India were listed on the BSE after much anticipation on Thursday, September 24, opening at Rs.1,800 a share, marking a small premium of 0.84% over the Rs.1,785 IPO issue price. Prior to listing, the NSE IPO had seen strong demand, garnering 5.71 times subscription to the Rs.22,561.57 crore offer size. It should be noted that this was a pure offer for sale (OFS) IPO, wherein the company does not raise any new money via the IPO route. Trading performance has brought the focus away from the listing premium to the valuation, earnings potential and trade volumes of NSE.
