India, Aug. 30 -- Nepal's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) issued a fresh flood alert for the Bhote Koshi River on Sunday, asking local authorities and people living in vulnerable areas to remain alert and take necessary precautionary measures. The latest warning comes as Nepal continues to battle one of its worst natural disasters in recent years. A massive glacial and bedrock collapse in the Himalayas triggered destructive floods that swept through several villages near the Nepal-Tibet border, causing widespread damage and heavy casualties.
