India, April 4 -- NASA has released the first high-resolution images of Earth captured by the crew of Artemis II as they travel toward the Moon. These images provide a rare and stunning view of our planet from deep space.

The mission commander, Reid Wiseman, took these "spectacular" photos after the spacecraft completed its final engine burn. This key step placed the crew on the correct path toward the Moon.
