India, Aug. 25 -- A 14-year-old girl has been named locally as Lexie following a fatal crash on the M20 in Kent. The teenager was on the coastbound carriageway near a footbridge close to Teapot Lane when she was struck by vehicles in the early hours of August 22.

Police said officers were called at around 3.19am following reports of the collision on the M20 between Junction 4 and Junction 5. The girl was pronounced dead at the scene, while her next of kin have been informed.

Her name, Lexie, has been shared on social media by friends and family, with tributes being posted alongside photographs and videos of the teenager.
