India, May 10 -- Nearly a week after the Assembly election results were announced for four states and Puducherry on May 4, political uncertainty continues in Kerala as the Congress leadership is yet to decide who will become the next Chief Minister.
While two states have already completed swearing-in ceremonies and two others have officially named their chief ministerial candidates, Kerala remains caught in a leadership battle within the Congress-led alliance.
With the new Kerala Assembly required to be formed before the May 23 deadline, pressure is mounting on the Congress high command to settle the growing internal contest over the top post.
