India, March 30 -- Thieves made off with priceless paintings by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Cezanne and Henri Matisse from the Magnani Rocca Foundation near Parma, northern Italy, police confirmed. The theft occurred on the night of 22 March, according to reports on Rai television.
Renoir, Cezanne, Matisse Stolen
The stolen works include Fish by Renoir, Still Life with Cherries by Cezanne, and Odalisque on the Terrace by Matisse. Italian media have estimated the total value of the stolen paintings at €9 million (£7.8 million), as reported by the BBC.
