India, April 7 -- The Government of India on Tuesday issued a fresh advisory for Indian nationals currently residing in Iran, asking them to remain where they are and stay indoors for the next 48 hours amid escalating tensions in West Asia. 

The advisory was issued by the Indian Embassy in Tehran in response to the rapidly evolving security situation in the region. Authorities stressed that the move is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of Indian citizens as geopolitical tensions continue to rise.
