India, Oct. 16 -- The shares of IndiGo were hit hard on Friday, October 16, after the Centre told the Supreme Court about its finalising of rules to govern airfares in India. The Centre has stated that the new rules have been administratively approved and shall be put out in two weeks' time.

The shares of the InterGlobe Aviation, which is the holding company of IndiGo, fell on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) due to this development. The Supreme Court has ordered the government to file the airfare rules that are to be published by November 16, 2026, when the case will come up for hearing again.
