India, Sept. 26 -- India-Pakistan Tensions Latest: Pakistan and India traded heated statements during the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) when Pakistan's Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, made references to the Indus Waters Treaty, Jammu and Kashmir and bilateral tensions during his address to the assembly. Shehbaz Sharif stated that although Pakistan sought peace, it would consider any attempt to interfere with its rights over the water resources from the Indus River as "an act of war." It was then India's turn to exercise its right of reply against Pakistan's accusations and discuss terrorism across the border and its stance regarding Jammu and Kashmir.
