India, Sept. 30 -- UK bakery and food-to-go chain Greggs has announced proposals to close four manufacturing sites and restructure parts of its production network, a move that could affect around 740 jobs over the next two and a half years.

The announcement came alongside stronger third-quarter trading. Greggs reported that total sales increased 7.7% in the 13 weeks to September 26, 2026, while like-for-like sales at company-managed shops rose 3.4%. The company also raised its outlook for 2026, saying it now expects a "modestly improved" outcome.
