Formula One, Canadian Grand Prix: Mercedes's George Russell Takes Pole After Tight Qualifying Round
India, May 24 -- Mercedes driver George Russell clinched pole position for Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix as he toppled other drivers into the front of the grid. Russell, who also won the Canadian Grand Prix Sprint Race earlier in the day, will now look to make the most of the race week. The British driver could go to the top of the driver's standings this week if the results favour him.

Sprint winner Russell crossed the line 0.068 of a second faster than Antonelli right at the end of the session, after the 19-year-old Italian had gone quickest.
