India, April 11 -- Veteran television presenter Eamonn Holmes is currently recovering in hospital after suffering a stroke, according to the latest update from his employer, GB News. The 66-year-old broadcaster is said to be responding well to treatment as he continues his recovery. 

Hospitalised After Stroke

Holmes was taken ill last week and later diagnosed with a stroke. In an official statement, GB News confirmed that he is "responding well to treatment" while requesting privacy for the presenter during this period. The channel also expressed support for the long-time host, noting that colleagues are wishing him a speedy recovery and look forward to his return to television.
