India, July 23 -- Commonwealth Games 2026 Opening Ceremony: The wait is finally over as the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games officially get underway with the Opening Ceremony on Thursday (July 23). Scotland is set to welcome more than 3,000 athletes from 74 Commonwealth nations and territories for the XXIII Commonwealth Games, with an evening packed with music, culture, entertainment and the traditional Parade of Nations. The ceremony at the iconic OVO Hydro will mark the beginning of 10 days of sporting action, with medal events scheduled from July 24 to August 2.
