India, Sept. 29 -- Brent crude oil prices have moved sharply higher as markets assess the impact of escalating tensions between the United States and Iran on global oil supplies. Brent has climbed above the $91-per-barrel mark, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude has moved close to $85 per barrel.

The latest movement in crude oil prices comes as traders remain focused on developments in the Middle East and the possibility that a prolonged US-Iran conflict could disrupt oil production, exports and shipping routes.
