India, April 9 --  Voting for Assembly elections in Kerala, Assam and Puducherry began at 7 am on Thursday with tight security arrangements. Polling will continue till 6 pm. According to early data till 9 am, Kerala recorded a voter turnout of 16.23 percent, Assam reported 17.87 percent, and Puducherry saw 17.41 percent participation.
