India, June 25 -- Alum Rock Sierra Fire Latest News: A vegetation fire, now being referred to as the Sierra Fire, broke out in the east foothills of San Jose on Thursday, prompting a rapid response from firefighters. According to the San Jose Fire Department (SJFD), crews were dispatched to the 5000 block of Sierra Road after reports of a wildfire spreading through dry vegetation. Officials classified the incident as a Tier 2 vegetation fire and said the blaze had reached approximately five acres in size during the initial response.
