India, May 19 -- The 8th Pay Commission is among the most anticipated salary revision systems for central government employees and pensioners in India. However, despite expectations of higher pay from 2026, the actual implementation of revised salaries is unlikely to happen immediately. According to a report, government employees may need to wait until 2027 to receive the revised salary structure, even though the new pay system is expected to be effective from January 1, 2026 on paper.
