India, April 5 -- Central government employees and pensioners are eagerly waiting for a salary and pension increase, along with a rise in DA (Dearness Allowance). Latest reports suggest that the Modi government is moving ahead with the 8th Pay Commission, which could lead to a significant hike in salaries, pensions, and DA benefits from January 2026.

8th Pay Commission Formation Confirmed by Government

The Finance Ministry has already confirmed in Parliament that the 8th Pay Commission was set up on November 3, 2025.
