India, July 14 -- 8th Pay Commission Latest News: The 8th Central Pay Commission (8th CPC) has completed its stakeholder consultation meeting in Kolkata on July 10, 2026, where representatives from central government organisations, employee associations and unions shared their demands, concerns and suggestions regarding salary revisions, allowances and pension benefits.

The Kolkata visit was part of the Commission's nationwide consultation process to collect feedback before preparing its recommendations for the Centre. The panel is conducting discussions with employee groups, pensioners' organisations and other stakeholders across different regions to understand their expectations on pay structure, allowances and retirement benefits.
