India, Sept. 2 -- 8th Pay Commission Latest News: The employees and pensioners of the central government are impatiently waiting for the announcement by the Union government on the Dearness Allowance hike effective July 2026 and the 8th Pay Commission is meeting various stakeholders across the country.

The existing Dearness Allowance hike is 60% of the basic pay after adding 2 percentage points to the existing 58% from January 2026. The next hike in accordance with AICPI-IW for July 2026 is 3 percentage points to 63%. However, at the same time, the 8th Pay Commission is meeting various stakeholders.
