India, Aug. 13 -- 8th Pay Commission Latest News: The 8th Central Pay Commission (8th CPC) has been given 18 months from the date of its constitution to submit its recommendations to the government. However, the Centre has not confirmed whether the Commission will complete and submit its report before the end of this stipulated period.

The clarification was provided in Parliament as millions of central government employees and pensioners continue to wait for recommendations concerning salary revisions, allowances, pensions and other service-related matters.

The Commission was formally constituted through a government resolution issued on 3 November 2025. It is headed by Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai.
