India, Sept. 3 -- The 8th Central Pay Commission, established on November 3, 2025, has now served 10 out of its 18 months' period. The Commission, chaired by Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai, is reviewing questions related to salaries, allowances and pensions for central government employees and pensioners. The submission of the report is expected in May 2027; however, there has been no announcement of the date for submission of the report from the government's side. The panel is now consulting employee associations, pensioner associations and others.
