India, June 1 -- The 8th Pay Commission update is moving ahead as the panel continues extensive consultations with central government employee unions, pensioner associations, and government departments. The commission is working on final recommendations that will decide salary revision, pension increase, and allowance changes for millions of central government employees and retirees in India.

So far, the commission has already completed stakeholder meetings in cities such as Pune, Dehradun, and New Delhi, and has now planned a fresh round of consultations in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
